My sister in law just had a baby shower for her 4th child to be born, a sweet baby girl! This is her fourth daughter, so she has seen her share of cute baby gear, cool gadgets and everything that comes with the birth of a child!
I sent her one of our new satin and minky blankets. On it was the name of her newest edition! She didn’t know she was going to receive anything from me since I wasn’t able to make it to her shower. So this gift came as a surprise!
When I got home that night she called me at around 10:00 pm (which is very late for a pregnant girl) and gushed over how cute the blanket was! How she loved the personalized cake box it came in and the matching diaper bag tag. She said it was the best gift she received at her shower. All the ladies passed it around and cuddled with it, saying it was so nice!

8 Tips on throwing a celebrity style baby shower!

1. Theme - This will make everything you decide to do easier. You can go with the mom to be’s theme for the babies room or just something that the mom to be likes.
2. Custom invitations - This is a great place to kick off your theme. If you are crafty you can even print these yourself. (remember to send them off at least three weeks in advance)
3. Decorations - Another place your theme will come in handy! Just a few great ideas are: fresh flowers, fancy linens, balloons, a clothes line with baby items clipped on with clothes pins and a diaper cake.
4. Make introductions - or have each guest introduce themselves and how they know the expectant mother, or have the mother to be introduce each guest and how she knows each one.
5. Motherly advice - Have each guest write on a card their personal advice for the mom to be, then let the mom to be read them aloud. Some will be funny, some will be sweet but all will be fun!
6. Play games and give party favors - Who doesn’t like a cute gift? Play a few games for cute prizes like scented candles or lotions! At the end of the shower give each guest a party favor that coordinated with your theme.
